Comfortable, water proof hiking boots or shoes, sized to fit over two layers of socks (Do NOT buy new shoes right before you come! Chafed feet would defenitely ruin your trip.)
Comfortable back pack (about 50 liters)
Waterproof gaiters or similar to use when we ford streams (or you could follow my example and take of your pants and change to sandals when we walk in deeper water)
Warm hat (for cold, windy days)
Summer cap or hat (to protect from sun shine)
Light weight gloves
2 pr. light weight liner socks (capilene, polypropylene, or silk are excellent )
1 pr. wool or fleece socks sized to fit over the liner socks (even in summer it is a good idea to use double layers to avoid chafed feet)
1 pr. warm socks to use when you sleep
1 pr. capilene, polypropylene or silk top and bottom long underwear
1 fleece top or wool sweater
Windproof jacket
Windproof pants
Rain jacket
Rain pants

Camera (don`t forget extra batteries and memory cards if you have a digital cam. And if you need to use special rechargable batteries, check in advance if you can connect your cam or recharger to Swedish electricity. Electricity will be available only on the first and last days)
Travel plug adapter (if you plan to bring with you any electrical appliances that you can connect to the Swedish net, 220V. Electricity will be available only on the first and last days)
