Mixed things from today's stage between Tarrekaise and Såmmarlappa.
A dry, park-like nature with crowberries and a few lone white-birches
here and there. Like a Japanese zen-garden but on a much larger
scale. Even the trees resemble large scale bonsai.
The scenery slowly changes its shape as we walk. Mountains that
seems low from a distance grow to impressive looking peaks when
we get closer. Mountains appear, change their shape and disappear.
One of these fields full of flowers that we pass in Tarra valley,
and my picture simply can't make justice to it. You really should
experience this with your own eyes.
Towards the end of today's hike we get close to the Tarra river
again. We are now about 500 m above sea level, 200 m higher than
our starting point in Kvikkjokk.
There just have to be some arctic chars right here, don't you think?
One of the most beautiful places along this hike to try your luck
if you brought your fishing gear.
There is something enticing with high or otherwise interesting looking
mountains. Some peaks are more tempting than others. How do you
feel about this one?
You are free to use the boat to get to the other side. River crossing
at the Såmmarlappa cabins.
