Såmmarlappa is the last place owned by the Swedish Touring Club,
STF, during this trip. It doesn't make any difference to us, but independent
hikers planning to buy some of their food as they hike should know
that this is the last outpost for shopping until Staloluokta.
A red wooden house with white corners. Originally from the province
of Dalarna, these type of houses were promoted during the nationalistic
era in the late 1800's to The Traditional Swedish House.
A rare species of flower can be found right in front of the cabins
close to the river. Watch your feet!
Everything was remade in 2005, and it still looks like a showroom
from IKEA. Except that everything is made out of real wood and will
probably last for a hundred years.
Not all foreign guests are thrilled by these two-storeyed bunks but
the Swedish establishments are stubbornly keeping them anyway.
A nice day of hiking and maybe you feel now a little bit tired from
the physical activity, but in a good way. And to finish it all in
a suitable manner; a good square meal at the sturdy wooden table with
a pleasant outlook over the mountains.
